After earning my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1990 from Bridgewater State College, I worked as at Foxborough High School in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where I did my student teaching. I worked as a substitute teacher then as an instructional assistant in the Special Education Department. While doing so, I started graduate coursework in English at Bridgewater State College. From 1993-1994, I worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Academic Advising Center at Bridgewater State while completing my Master’s Degree.

I have been a high school English teacher at Grafton High School in Central Massachusetts since 1994. Currently, I teach college preparatory sophomores and seniors. Previously, I have taught Freshman English, Freshman Study Skills, Sophomore Writing and Speech and Advanced Placement Literature and Composition (2002-2017).

In addition to teaching, I have served as English Department Head (1998-2009), Class Advisor(Class of 1998 ), Founder and Advisor to the Cultural Enrichment Club(1998-2008), The Tolerance Project Advisor (2005-2010) and GHS No Stomach For Cancer Walk Advisor (2012-2017). I have also served on many committees including NEASC Accreditation Steering Committee.
